Paula Holme

Born and raised in Southeast Asia, Paula Holme received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications, with a major in documentary filmmaking from De La Salle University in Manila.  She worked in advertising for corporate clients before moving to France where she worked in graphic design. Paula spent several years as an art director for a publishing company in Paris before deciding that something was missing.  She returned to university and graduated with distinction with a Master’s degree in Art in Therapy and Psychopedagogy from the Université René Descartes (Paris).  She finally felt able to give voice to her feelings of civic responsibility while finding a way to spotlight her unswerving belief that there is great potential in every human being.  Her multi-cultural heritage along with her personal experience of the healing power of the arts has led her to explore them as a means of universal expression, communication and transformation.
Over the years, Paula has worked with children and adults in France and Southeast Asia. She is currently head of a pioneering project that uses the arts to teach English at a secondary school in France. Together, Isabelle and Paula co-founded Tutubi and ScarletWorks Outreach and Mentoring, not-for-profit organizations that provide Arts Therapy and Arts Projects for vulnerable people in various communities, and Artworks, a creative branch of the Angkor Photography Festival.
