Dee Koppang is a highly accomplished television Producer and Director who works in the worlds of entertainment, and observational documentary.  She directs multi-camera location crews, gallery produces, and self shoots some of her work.

Born in Oslo, Norway, Dee currently resides in London, UK and recently has begun to work on projects in the US as well.   She is known for her vibrant personality and ability to work creatively and cost-effectively on projects ranging from formatted reality for major UK networks - such as BBC1 & 2 and Channel 4, as well as cable channels - MTV, VH1 & Discovery.  

Samples of her work include: directing and producing the last three seasons of 'Shipwrecked–Battle of the Islands,' a 'Survivor'-style reality show for Channel 4, which was shot on location in the Cook Islands, as well as show running 'The Celebrity Agency,' a primetime series for MTV.  (This was a hugely rated behind-the-scenes observational documentary about the Jonathan Lipman Agency: a London based celebrity talent management agency.) She has also produced two seasons of Big Brother in the UK.

Dee is currently working at Endemol UK on a new format show for Living TV. The show is called 'Dating in the Dark' and the American version will be shown on ABC in the fall 2009.  In addition to the entertainment genre, Dee is experienced at filming in extreme environments. She has worked on several travel documentary series, including - climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, camping in the Arctic in Spitsbergen, filming humpback whales in Tonga, as well as spending time in an Inuit community in Greenland.

Dee is developing documentary projects which range from the worlds of high fashion, travel and culture.  She recently completed a short film for the UK designer Lulu Guinness (OBE) which was exhibited at the V&A museum in London.  Dee is fluent in English, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish and has a working knowledge of French and German.  She is fully BBC Health & Safety trained in working in hostile environments.
